There is really no way to find a usefull "average" for mail delivery time. Since destinations and points of origin can vary so much, there is too much deviation from an average that would exist. Therefore, any calculated average would be meaningless and would only apply to the select few that, only by luck, correlate with the average delivery time. If, by your question, you meant the average time of day that mail is delivered to people, I would have to give you the same sort of answer. Mail is delivered whenever the person delivering your mail gets to wherever the mail is to be deilivered. It's as simple as that. Since every postal workers route is different, every resulting delivery time must also be different.
