If one takes promotes good 'care and feeding' of their car, it can last almost indefinetely. This means religiously changing the oil and oil filter every 3,000 miles at the bare minimum. Auto manufacturers are now promoting less frequent oil changes, but you will be better off in the long run when changing this at 3,000 miles instead ot 5,000 or 7,500 miles.
Never abuse the engine by constant high speed shifting or high rpm revs all the time - just drive normally, but not slow like gramma moses either. If you take care of your engine, it will take care of you, too.
I change the engine oil and filter every 3,000 miles and never rev the engine hard until it has warmed up to the normal operating temperature.
My Subaru Forester S-Turbo 2001 Coming up to 100,000 miles and no sign of any engine wear, knocks or blue smoke.
Providing that you also change the cam belt at the recommended service interval 250,000 miles should easily be achievable.
I am not sure on bodywork or suspension though as suspension is getting a little soft and droops at the back end.
Just like every engine ever built, that depends entirely on how the engine is treated.
he learned how to live life again
Avalon Landing by William Forrester. Jamal mentions it is about how life never really works out.
15 years
The average life expectancy of an engine in a Ford Focus is around 150,000 - 250,000 miles. You can extend the life expectancy of your engine by making sure you do regular maintenance and upkeep on it.
At least 200,000 miles.
forever
There is no way of saying for sure. As long as the engine never overheats and you change the coolant every 50,000 miles it should last the life of the engine.
Depending what engine you have they recomend between 60K and 80K.
I have seen many with 400,000 miles and still going. Long life average is impossible to average or tell as the engine life beyond the first 100,000 is 100% based on driver habits and how the maintenance is done.
Subaru Outback "woodriff key" is good for the life of the vehicle.
200,000 miles is average with normal maintenance.
