$1,200 to $1,500 for an AKC registered puppy from a reputible breeder. Dogs from pet shops are often less expensive ($750), but please remember that most of these dogs come from "puppy mills" and are raised in terrible conditions.
A reputible breeder will:
--Be registered with the Welsh Terrier Club of America
--Ask several questions about your living situation, lifestyle, family, and activity level
--Require you to come visit their home so you can get to know one another before you bring your puppy home
--Provide at minimium, a 3 generation pedigree to demonstrate your puppy's background
--Provide health checks, as well as shots, by a registered vet
My guy was $600. You could definitely get one for less though.
