The cost varies based on facility, surgeon, outpatient vs inpatient, where you are in the US, etc.

For example, in 2005, Utah averaged $5,851 for the outpatient procedure. Minnesota showed $9,020 as an average price.

Insurance companies may also have a negotiated price which may be lower.

I was wondering the same thing then I stumbled across a site at www.healthcarebluebook.com I still have to get an estimate from the billing department of my surgeon. My appointment is tomorrow! The site gave me an estimate of $1,229 for surgeon 's fee, $956 for anesthesia and $1,800 a day for the hospital. I hope I was able to help!

how many days of hospital stay would it be for this procedure?

If you do not have health insurance, you should expect to pay $10,000 to $20,000 for the surgery. If you have insurance, you will just have to pay your co-pay and/or deductible.
