It depends on your baby. Some babies sleep for 3-4 hours and don't cry until around the fourth hour. My baby is almost 5 months old and has slept through the whole night since she was born. It just all depends on your baby and their sleeping habits. Usually feeding your baby as much as he/she will eat before you put him/her to bed, then he/she will sleep for a longer period of time.

My little one sleeps very well at night. He wakes up twice for feeds and go back to sleep. But he struggles to put himself to sleep during the day. Does your baby needs controlled crying method?
I don't use controlled crying because when baby is crying he is crying for a reason. He needs to be comforted and know mommy is there. However, this will change when my son turns three, but I still won't use controlled crying. I like supernanny's way better.
