Here's the issue:
First, we must agree upon a lenght of time that an observation will be made of dugout canoe's crossing Lake Malai. I suggest one season. The most amiable to canoeing of course.
Secondly, equalize as many factors as possible.
a. All canoes start at the same point.
b. All canoes head in the same direction.
c. All canoes end at the same point.
d. All canoe's are of the same wood and weight.
e. All canoe's have same number of paddlers.
f. All canoes have paddlers of equal ability.
g The water conditions for each observation are simular.
Thirdly, variables must be noted, such as, wind direction, change of wind speed & direction, temperature of air & water and general lake conditions.
Any volunteers?
Depends on weather and if you are on a lake or river, but 2 miles an hour is pretty easy going, and experienced paddlers can average 5 miles an hour.
as fast as you can paddle it.
a few hours depending on your speed
Average speed is an average value of speed over a given time. If your speed is constant (not changing), then your average speed will equal your speed at any given moment in time.
Average Speed is different from average speed becoz speed is particular while avera speed is the total distance divided from time
40 J
Average distance ______________ = Average Speed Average time
I would call it current speed, not average speed.
average speed = distance / time
Instantaneous speed is the speed at a particular moment in time. The average speed of an object tells you the (average) rate at which it covers distance
For the instantaneous value of average velocity, average speed and average velocity are equal.
velocity is a vector and speed is scalar. Velocity has magnitude and directions, with magnitude being speed. The magnitude of average velocity and average speed is the same.
Hi There is not an average speed. It depends on the length and wind direction and speed
