it depends on which map you use but it is usually brown
That's going to depend on which way your map is drawn. If your map is printed in central Australia, with south upward, then 49 of the states in the USA are entirely above the 60 N parallel, and part of the 50th is too. If your map has north upward, then only one state ... Alaska ... has part of its territory, but not all, above the 60th parallel north, and no other state has any at all.
According to a map it is the SOUTHERN part of Alaska that is the penninsulaNote: There are comments associated with this question. See the discussion page to add to the conversation.

what color on a map would seem to be better for farming the color brown or green?
mostly green or yellow
Hawaii and Alaska.
Alaska is the largest state of the US by area. Texas is the second larges state of the US by area. ADDED: To be precise Alaska is more than twice the area of Texas. Old Alaskan joke told to bellyaching Texans. " Stop complaining about being the second largest state or we will cut Alaska in two and you will be the third largest state! "
that would be Alaska even though it doesnt look it on the map
Alaska is larger, it just looks small on the map. Alaska is also the largest state in the U.S.
it will be in the "pandhandle" of Alaska
There isn't enough room on most small maps to place the entire state of Alaska on the map. They put a tiny, unrealistic sized picture of Alaska in the bottom left, near Hawaii because it will fit nicely there. Alaska doesn't fit very well on a Map of the U.S. also because it is so much farther north than the the other states.
Alaska, although it may seem like it is Hawaii. Alaska is much farther west than Hawaii, if you look at a globe, not a map.
Alaska is larger. On a map it is smaller because it is a flat map
See Google Maps or Mapquest.
