I would say some thing from the heart. Just becareful not to go overboard or to mushy.

i would also go with homemade things

i would say by telling that person u love them and spending the whole day together. either at the park and a picnic; or anywhere u guys like to hang out. And end the day, with a gift and tell them u love them and that "this day was incredible because i was with you through it all". if u don't know what to do on that day u can start it off with a gift then just go from there. but if u have it all planned out (better!!) do it at the end or however u have it.
