Derived from the H&R Model 1906/06 small frame 7 shot .22 rimfire, solid frame revolver with pull-pin cylinder removal. Trapper Model was manuf'd from circa 1924 to 1941. All were blue finished, with 6" octagonal barrels, fixed sights and two piece small checkered walnut grips. After c. 1930 - came with gold plated front sight. All were serial numbered in same series as the Model 1906, yours with s/n in the 180 thousand range was made, most likely in the 1929-1931 range. No production date lists are currently available. $125-$150 The star & arrow is the mark for TULA ARSENAL. It was imported by CAI (Century Arms International). They usually came with a screwdriver & holster when imported. Ammo can be a problem to find but is usually available at any local gunshow for around $25-$30 for 50 rounds.
The Marlin firearms Co.made the Model 27 slide action rifle in 25-20WCF from 1910-1911.It had a 2/3 tube magazine,7shot,24in octagon barrel with open sights,and a plain straight grip stock.It also made the Model 27S which had a safety button on the right hand side of the receiver in either round or octagon barrel.this was made in the year 1913.I hope that this helps.
