The following are the serious anti-virus programs that are the best but are very costly:
Norton anti-virus 2009-is very good and lets you turn off it
Mcaffe- very good but does not let you turn of it
Zonealarm-allows you to turn it off.
total security-tells you your protection strength and scans
The following are the anti-virus programs that are free:
AVG 9.0- very good because it allows you to turn it and when it scans it scans for cookies to. AVG 9.0 also has linkscanner which goes to websites before you and scans them for data snatchers.
Zonealarm-a little bad because it is only a firewall and does not scan you pc at all
stop zilla-i have never tried it before but between a scale of 1-10 i would rate it 5
