Bullies have the same nutritional requirements as any other member of the Canine family. They are mainly meat eaters, but do benefit from some plant matter. Your best bet is to look into feeding a raw diet. If you do a search online for BARF (biologically appropriate raw foods) you'll come up with all sorts of resources. A really good beginners book is "Give a Dog a Bone". If you are looking for a good kibble, please stop by my website - http://www.noselicks.com/ - and have a look at the pet related articles. I do have an article posted there that outlines what to look for in a good quality food. Off the top of my head, one of the BEST foods on the market today is Go! Natural - specifically their grain free variety. Innova Evo is another good food, and there is also (I believe) a new grain free variety available from Solid Gold. All are excellent options for ANY dog. I must advise caution when dealing with absolutes. All dogs respond differently to different kibbles. Personally, in my house, all my APBTs get Canidae and do very well on it. I have had dogs do well on lower-quality kibbles, and the same with the raw diet. I've also had a dog respond very poorly to what is generally considered a quality feed. Different dogs have different nutritional needs. My advice is to read the labels, familarize yourself with them, and then try whichever food is the best quality within your budget.
Its best to feed your dog a no nonesense diet so it won't get fussy. Our dog eats our dinner scraps, so it is much more cost effective. We do also by him dry food, but he only eats a bit of that (it is called Science Diet)
The best dog foods don't vary by breed, unless you have a dog with special needs. The best dog foods also aren't available in grocery stores, unfortunately. I personally feed Canidae as an all-stages food to both my puppies and my adults. Other top brands include Nature's Variety, Innova, Solid Gold, Wellness, and Chicken Soup.
Some people will swear by dog foods that, by comparison, have inferior ingredients. This is partly because all dogs do differently on different foods. Some dogs cannot eat what I feed mine. Other people feed foods like ProPlan, which my dog did very poorly on. Sometimes it is a matter of trial and error to see which food works best for your dog.

When searching for a dog food brand that will suit your bulldog please take into account that most bulldogs are allergic to soy, therefore you should generally avoid dog foods containing soy products.
Eagle Pack Pet Products makes a wonderful and healthy line of dog food called "Holistic Select". My two dogs are on it. The golden retriever is nine and she eats Holistic Select Senior Care Formula because she is over seven (this is good for older dogs, over seven years). My black lab eats Holistic Select Chicken and Rice Flavor (but there are lots of flavors!) because she is a young dog. Please do not feed Iams food (they are very cruel to pets, though they look nice). Thanks. (Find $ saving coupons for eagle pack at eaglepack.com)
(Eukanuba or Solid Gold) But you said "the best" And I would be negligent in my duties as the "answer guy" not to suggest this: If you have the time I would also consider checking with your Veterinarian about a home made raw diet. You can find several great recipies online to accomidate your dogs diet and activity regiment.
The brand name "Blue" is a really good dog food for Pit bulls. It is natural and it has glucosamine to help with the growing bones, so there is no hip dysplasia. It is a little pricey but it is worth it. I am currently having my pit puppy on it. He loves it and he is growing beautifully.
Pit bull-type dogs have the same dietary needs as any other dog of its size and lifestyle. As a rule of thumb, don't feed the dog cheap food with corn and wheat in the top 3 ingredients if you want it to be long-lived and healthy. Also avoid anything with "meat by-products", which can include roadkill and carcasses of diseased and dying farm animals unfit for human consumption.
I usually check dogfoodadvisor.com before feeding our dog a new brand of food unless I can tell it has good ingredients (learned what to look for from the website). Personally, my dog and I prefer AvoDerm since it's a reputable brand that sells healthful food for a relatively low price.

you should feed it food pellets with 1treat per day. I feed my hamster the same brand every day and if I give him a different brand he will not eat at all
Bulldogs are pets. Their owners feed them.
The best dog food to feed a schnauzer is not a by brand but ingredients. Most schnauzer have skin issues and do best on a grain free diet.
Most breeders use Nutro's, Iam's, Eukanuba, Purina Puppy Chow or Science Diet. Check the ingredients, do not feed your Bulldog a kibble which contains soybeans.
