If you want a new car, the 2007 Hyundai Accent is pretty economic. One of my relatives bought one for a little under ten grand, it gets good mileage and is roomy for the price. For a used vehicle, I have four reccomendations: Mitsubishi Galant - My sister used to have one of these. It has plenty of room, most get good miles to the gallon, and is good against most collisions. Chevy Aveo - My cousin currently owns one, it's good for learning to drive. It gets you where you need to go for an economic price. Chevrolet Cavalier - My sister's first car. It is, however, one of the cheapest rides on the market. Once again, a reliable car who will get you where you need to go, but it requires much maintenance. Geo Metro - If you can find one with it's airbags intact, the Metro gets EXCELLENT mileage. It's not that big, so I think they only come in two doors. But it will save lots of money at the gas station. Good luck!
