Answer
The most informative site concerning the ins and out of XADO engine treatment or Oil additives is the XADO UK site.

Yes treatments are scorned upon by most aficionados but all oils and greases have additives in them, it just that some are different to others.
Technology has moved on so the newer additives are a step ahead of the older traditional PTFE or Zinc and lead products.
XADO is one of the newer generation. They are a large European company with a very successful range of products.

Answer
In my opinion the only good engine treatment is regular oil and filter changes and engine maintenance. As for engine treatments AKA additives I don't recommend them.
Answer
I discovered a treatment called XADO. It's been in use for years in Europe and has recently been introduced to the USA. We put some in my friend's mower the other day, and the compression nearly doubled-from 55# to 95#- in less than an hour.

Answer
I never liked or used any kind of treatment, just changed my oil every 3k miles. Recently a friend showed me something that amazed me and made me think twice about this subject. This particular instance we were using dura-lube. He put another product on bolt then put the bolt up against a grinding wheel which heated the bolt and made the oil treatment move away from the source of heat ( grinding wheel). Then he did the same thing with the dura-lube, in which the liquid went towards the heat source(grinding wheel). This was quite amazing to all the mechanics in the shop at the time. So I can't say that I don't think some of these additives can help a tired worn motor, especially after seeing this.
Answer
Most engine treatments have poor to limited functionality and are no substitute for regular maintenance with good oil and filter changes.
However as a complimentary treatment to good maintenance and a versatile product which does seem to work as it promises then check out teamzx1.co.uk for their Extralube ZX1 Micro Oil Metal Treatment and their super grease.
This product is very versatile and really does improve the service life of your engine. It is however not an excuse to avoid regular maintenance.
American users will find a supplier listed on their website.
I personally am very wary of any additive, but Engine Restorer by far is a great product, will really help lost compression and bad valve seals.
