If you are looking for the best deal for a family plan when it comes to cost and minutes, T-Mobile offers the best value by far. Not only do they have the cheapest plans, they also have the cheapest add a line prices when you need more than two phones.

∙ 12y agoThere are several possibilities for pricing and plans. But I found Virgin mobile to be the best, even if they don't have a specific family plan. The way it works is you get 300mins, unlimited text, web and data for $25 a month. Depending on how many people are in your family the overall price might be a lot, but chances are it will be less than any other companies plan.

∙ 12y agoThe price varies according to the number of lines and minutes purchased. There are also features such as minute sharing that effect the overall cost, so it varies according to your individual situation, but in my experience AT&T and T-Mobile offer reasonable family plan rates.

∙ 12y agoWalmart has a cell phone plan. I have used AT&T for as long as I've had a phone and had no complaints. First thing you want to do is see which company has good service in your area and then make sure to get a family plan that allows you to call and/or text each other for free.
