There's actually no scientific evidence that any one position will improve chances of pregnancy. Missionary is the position most commonly suggested. See source for more information.

The best position would be the position you assume after intercourse. It is best for the woman to achieve orgasm after the man and before you are finished having intercourse, as some experts say that when orgasm occurs, the cervix dips into the pool of semen deposited by the man.

The woman should lie on her back with her pelvis elevated somewhat with a pillow under the buttocks for at least 1 hour. It is helpful if the woman can fall asleep this way.
