Advice from a dominican
Anytime! That's the nice thing about the dom.republic. The weather stays about the same all year. But if you mean money wise- avoid going around the major holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc., and you'll save even more by not traveling in the summer. Since so many tourists go around that time of year, the airlines really raise the price.
*Actually not sooo true.... You really want to avoid to be in the dominican republic around the summer (from May 20th thru Mid agust) primarily due to extremely super hot days and nights. Temperatures are in the high 90s day and night. So I will avoid those months from now on....
