What is the best universal remote control? |
[Edit] |
The Logitech Harmony 1000 Advanced Unversal Remote is probably the king of universal remotes today. It won both the CES Innovations and iF Product Design awards in 2007.
This remote can control up to 15 devices including today's sophisticated home-theater systems. It has a 3.5" color touch screen in a brushed-aluminum, artistically-designed case. It downloads control codes over the Internet for almost any device (Logitech lists over 175,000 devices) simply by plugging it in to your computer's USB port. And it can learn from other remotes.
List price for this remote: $499.99.
Logitech's current part number for this remote is 966230-0403, but that can change when updated versions are released. The remote can be had from Logitech.com, radioshack.com, and various electronics retailers.
