What is the best way to care for a baby mouse that is about 4 days old and has no mother? |

Answer
About a month ago my family and I bought three mice from a pet store, Two females and one male. A few days ago our mouse had babies. But then the babies started to disapear, and we began to worry so we took out the other female and the male, and left the mother in the cage with the remaining pups. Then we noticed she seemed to be neglecting the pups, not feeding them. So naturally I went on google to try and find a way to help the remaining pups survive. My cousin found a site that told us to feed the mouse every 2 hours with cow's milk and warme it with deluded water and feed it with a medicine dropper. Then when possible go to a pet store and get kitten formula. Drop the milk on our hands and let the mouse lick it up. Also when you are not holding the pup, put her in a cage or something protective (shoebox if nessasary) with some kind of bedding (get creative use old socks or clean toilet paper), and don't forget to have a light over it, but leave a shady spot...just incase it gets too warm. Hope this helped!!!
