Bags Unlimited has developed its own LP RECORD CLEANING FLUID specially formulated for its deep cleaning, antistatic, and residue-free properties. Each 4 ounce bottle cleans about 50 LP records. The 4 & 8 ounce bottles come with a convenient spray-top bottle.
If you're looking for an inexpensive alternative to cleaning your records, you can use a very mild and residue free dishwashing soap such as dawn liquid and warm distilled water.(not hot)Distilled water is preferred because all salts and contaminates are removed in the distillation process.First carefully dampen your record paying close attention not to get the label wet.Put a very small dab of soap on your finger and work it around the grooves.Rinse record thouroghly and make sure all soap is removed.Make sure record is dry before playing because wet playing can damage the grooves on the record and harm the stylus.
There are many ways to go about cleaning vinyl record albums but very few are as effective and successful at both cleaning away the grime and maintaining perfection about the records' sound quality. The best way to clean vinyl records is with soap and water, and some gentle, but thorough scrubbing.
Another option would be the record washer system like Spin Clean which works by using a patented record cleaning solution. The formula traps the dirt that comes off the record and sinks it to the bottom of the washer so it does not get back on the records.
It is very hard to remove mold from vinyl because it actually sticks to the inside of the grooves. I have tried alcohol mixed with water as commonly recommended but it does not work all that well. Record cleaning machines work okay, but they are very expensive.
The best thing I have used so far is a product call Record Revirginizer, it works a like a facemask, which means you need to apply it to a record let it dry then peel it off.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
Methylated spirits and a good quality dust free cloth worked best for me when i had my collection as a lad.

Hello questioner, LP also known as Long Play records play at 33-1/3 rpm. Best regards, JF.
The version on vinyl, or a record (the LP at 33.3 RPM). I remember when there were 45 RPM records, usually just 1 song each side, and LP records or albums, which had the Long Playing version of songs, with, sometimes, repeated choruses, etc...Earlier vinyl records had 78 RPM records also.
Columbia Records
You need to identify the specific LP for a value. In general they do not have a high value unless it features a popular player. With collectible LP records the cover is more important than the record itself and has a higher value. The diplaly of the cover will dictate the value.
