I have had doctors who had a general attitude of distrust that I suspect was a defense against being found out that they didn't know their craft. If, for example, you either don't eat much protein, or don't digest protein well, then that will affet your neurotransmitters, which will knock your dopamine and seritonin levels off. Antianxiety meds address seritonin, but does not address the other damage that happens to your body when you don't get enough protein 9or whatever it is your body lacks.
