Take valuim, clonidine and ibprophen, get as much rest as you can and take lots of hot baths. Try not to take any other opiate as it will delay the process
Take none of the above,other drugs are not the answer,reduce your script at a pace you are comfortable with, I have done this myself for 14 months and am now on a very low amount (4 mill) but have not used it now for 6 days, will power is what you need.

∙ 13y agoI have been off methadone for 5 days now and I am getting better by drinking lots of water, hot baths small work outs, nutrition, cranberry pills, just flush ur system I have not seen a doctor or anything. But I have only been taking methadone for a month now and I will never take it again biggest mistake of my life I am still having a hard time sleeping. If u have been doing it for a long period of time I would see a doctor I should of but I just can't afford it.

∙ 13y agoIve been in detox twice from methadone. they gave me clonadine(which is prescribed for high blood pressure) according on how much methadone you are taking the more severe the withdrawals will be . I was on 60 mg daily and the withdrawals werent that severe

∙ 13y agoMethadone typically lasts in your system for 3-4 days, so going cold turkey for a week would do it. However, if you need to clean it out immediately for a test the next day, the only thing I could thing of is some of that detox stuff like those foot patches you see on TV. Charcoal (the kind used for people who are poisoned or OD) might work too, if you are desperate. However, if it is a hair follicle test, you may as well give up because those can see if you did drugs a few months ago.

∙ 15y agothey start you off at a high dose.. like for me it was 40 mg and they ween u down over a course of 7 days.. but coming off methadone is pretty bad it self

∙ 12y agoIf you have only taken a small dose and you do not frequently take methadone, you shouldn't go through a detox at all. People who detox off methadone take it every day for an extended period.
