Epsom Salts is the best thing one can have in their medicine cabinet. It isn't like regular salt and will not sting. Depending on where the wound is with the puss fill a bath tub with body temperature water and use two cups of Epsom Salts and some boiling water added to it to dissolve the crystals and add to the bath water making sure you stir it through the bath water. Soak for a good half hour. Then pat dry and use an antibiotic cream that YOU SHOULD get from your doctor with a bandage to protect it. Repeat. If it's the hands or feet then you can use a basin and add 1/2 - 1 cup of Epsom Salts and use the above directions as you would for a bath.

Please see your doctor even though it may appear to be clearing up. Antibiotic cream is needed!
