You can try accessing your own state government database to see if such infromation exists.
However, there is NO way to completely search nationwide criminal records..
Commercial websites that claim (for a fee) to be able to do this are being disingenuous (a fancy work for lying). They can only gather information which is published by the various local, state, and federal governments LOTS of this information is not available to them since it is contained in restricted government databases.
Answer:It is correct that the most reliable information you can find for felony records is the Department of Corrections site in your own state, or the state in which the offender was convicted. Some DOC's do create files for parolees who moved to the state from another where they served time. However, not all do.Once free site where I have gotten mixed results is Criminal Searches (see the related link below). It does not always hit, but when it does, it may return felony as well as misdemeanor convictions. Good hits return at less than 50% though, and may be as low as 10-25%.
