Macau does not have a capital because it is officially a special administrative region of China. Historically, the capital was "Cidade do Nome de Deus de Macau" (or Macau Peninsula). This name was abolished upon reunification. The government headquarters were located in the St. Lawrence Parish.
Macao City is the capital of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. Beijing is the national capital.
