Cirrhosis
Cirrhosis is a degenerative illness affecting the liver and causing scarring. Alcohol misuse and hepatitis C are thought to be the two main causes of this illness.
When progressive disease such as alcohol damage or hepatitis destroys enough liver tissue, the scarring that results shrinks the liver and constricts blood flow.
Alcohol Hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver from drinking large amounts of alcohol.
1. Alcohol is a very common cause of cirrhosis2. Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) refers to a wide spectrum of liver diseases that, like alcoholic liver disease, ranges from simple steatosis, to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), to cirrhosis. All stages of NAFLD have in common the accumulation of fat in liver cells. The term nonalcoholic is used because NAFLD occurs in individuals who do not consume excessive amounts of alcohol, yet.3. Chronic viral hepatitis is a condition where hepatitis B or hepatitis C virus infects the liver for years. Most patients with viral hepatitis will not develop chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis.4. Autoimmune hepatitis is a liver disease caused by an abnormality of the immune system that is found more commonly in women. The abnormal immune activity in autoimmune hepatitis causes progressive inflammation and destruction of liver cells (hepatocytes), leading ultimately to cirrhosis.5. Infants can be born without bile ducts (biliary atresia) and ultimately develop cirrhosis. Other infants are born lacking vital enzymes for controlling sugars that leads to the accumulation of sugars and cirrhosis.
There are a number of diseases of the liver, but in general the group is called hepatitis. A number of viral diseases may be familiar to you: Hep A, B, and C. Cirrhosis is another term which can be caused by excessive alcohol intake but also by some inherited diseases.
Prohibition of alcohol.
By not abusing Drugs or Alcohol.
Certain types of hepatitis are communicable, these are the viral strains. There are several non-communicable types of hepatitis related to alcohol abuse.
Excessive alcohol use can cause a condition or disease called cirrhosis. It can be fatal.
Moderate drinking is associated with better health and greater longevity than is either abstaining from alcohol or abusing it. Chronic, excessive alcohol intake can cause persistent amnesic disorder and dementia. One in 5 heavy drinkers will develop a fatty liver, this can lead to death if they continue drinking. Some alcoholics will get alcoholic hepatitis, an inflamed liver. If a person with alcoholic hepatitis keeps drinking, they have a 40% chance of getting cirrhosis of the liver.
