What could be the cause of chest pains for a 12 year old when heart issues and lung issues have been cleared?

Depending on the type of pain (sharp, burning, dull, throbbing, aching, etc.), what it feels like generally gives you at least an idea of where the pain could be coming from. Sharp, needle-like pain is a nerve; burning can be a combination of nerve and muscle pain. Deep aching pain is usually muscle related; bone pain can be any one of them depending on the problem with the bone.

Quite often sharp pains on the left side of the chest that can cause concern for heart problems turn out to be related to stomach gas, reflux, and similar problems. Having had reflux for many years, I've had chest pains that felt like my chest was being ripped out - it generally feels extremely painful, very sharp, and sometimes burning as well; it will come out of nowhere, but usually within a couple of hours after eating. Sometimes it'll start as a small, sharp pain, and then radiate outward and then feel as though it's the whole side that's hurting.

If you haven't done so, consider consulting with your doctor about possible stomach problems. It doesn't make any difference how old you are, but it's what you eat that causes it.

its not that! trust me! i have had these problems for 2 years and not one of my doctors have said its possible when the pain is like someones driving a hammer into your chest!
