its passed down from parents to children. there is no current cure, and some people are still debating whether or not it is even a "disease".

Though its not a disease, the fact remains that the afflicted persons suffer from societal ostracization. There are ways to minimize it over a period of time.

yes it's not a disease and it dose harm some things. the way you (and I, i suffer from it) learn. but it increases how much effort you put into work. and lots of people belive, i don't know relly wether i do, that it increases how you work in some subjects although you can argue that it just makes you look for the easyest path and then go down it until you get good at the subject

First, let's talk about the definition of dyslexia. Dyslexia means a person has problems with reading. In addition, most everyone with dyslexia has difficulty with spelling and writing.

So if you think about it that way, dyslexia is something that you'll notice as you get ready to read.

The reason a person has difficulty with reading is because their brain is wired differently and it makes it hard to perform the basic tasks when learning how to read. One example would be learning how to sound out letters and words.

The research is pretty clear that people develop dyslexia because they inherited the way their brain is wired from their family genes. In other words, if your parents or other relatives had a history of reading difficulty, you are more likely to have a problem with reading, spelling and writing as well.

Dyslexia is caused by genetics and neuroanatomy. It can be inherited from other family members or it can be caused by a weakened electrical activation in parts of the left hemisphere of the brain.

Dyslexia is genetic, so it comes from another family member, not necessarily a parent. You are born with it, and it can't develop later in life.

What is the condition of dyslexia?

Dyslexia is a learning problem some kids have. Dyslexia makes it tough to read and spell. The problem is inside the brain, but it doesn't mean the person is dumb. Plenty of smart and talented people struggle with dyslexia. Dyslexic people are visual, multi-dimensional thinkers. We are intuitive and highly creative, and excel at hands-on learning. Because we think in pictures, it is sometimes hard for us to understand letters, numbers, symbols, and written words.
