- Go to a dollar store and buy some crepe paper banners in perhaps a soft yellow and white or soft green and white (any two colors you choose.) Buy a few balloons (not that expensive) and a couple with 'Baby' on it. Have the balloons filled with helium and then tie the balloons (2 to each) to a small sand bag/something else that is heavy and cover with cellophane wrap and tie the other end of the balloon to the weight. You can pick flowers from our garden (if there are any) or buy cheaper flowers at a dollar store or a small grocery store to brighten up the area the baby shower is in.
