Chernozem (from Russian чернозём, black soil), also known as "black land" or "black earth", is a black-coloured soil containing a very high percentage of humus - 3% to 15%, and high percentages of phosphoric acids, phosphorus and ammonia. Chernozem is very fertile and produces a high agricultural yield.
It is probably black from all the decaying from plants and animals.
these soils are made up of volcanic rocks and lava flow..they are clayey, deeper, fine grained and black
Black soil is composed from red soil in long period of time. minerals and organic decayed mix with red soil and it became black and more fertile
humus
Not all tornadoes are black. There are two ways a tornado may appear black. First, the tornado may be back lit, causing it to appear dark. Some tornadoes lift large amounts of soil into the air. In such a situation, if the soil in an area is black, the tornado will likely be black as well.
Tornadoes do not always appear black. The apparent color depends on lighting conditions and how much and what color of soil is being lifted. Many tornadoes appear dark because of perspective: the are lit from behind and are essentially silhouetted against the light source. The same tornado may appear lighter if viewed from a different angle. The storms that spawn tornadoes have very thick clouds that often making conditions appear very dark. The clouds themselves may be black. Some tornadoes may be black as they lift large amounts of black soil into the air.
The Milky Way also contains two significant minor arms, as well as two. This supermassive black hole may have started off smaller.
When the soil is very permeable
Tornadoes can lift large amounts of soil into the air and can so take on the soil's color. Some areas, particularly in parts of Nebraska and Kansas, have red soil.
No the answer is false the mantle does not contain soil
Yes, soil does contain nitrogen.
black soil
the color of black soil is black
Soil does contain air, which is needed by burrowing insects and animals.
Humus content of the soil. What think the heat scientists about black surfaces and heat absorption? Black surfaces absorb heat faster and contain it longer. Mostly, humus is black or dark in color. Soil with much of the humus content tends to absorb more heat and gets heated faster than soil c9ontaining less humus.
bcause the red soil has iron in it & the black soil is formed frm d rock basaltic which is black !
yes, soil does contain granite that comes from the organic material of the remains of plants and animals :)
Type your answer here... Black soil is called black because it is black in colour.
They contain different minerals! That's the answer ! Believe me its right i got it from Study Island!! It was the right answer too!!
You shall put LARGE amounts of compost in it and wait a few years until it has decomposed - futhermore red soil contain alot of ion wich gives it the red color - because you can't remove the ion you can't remove the red color completly, but the red soil mixed with compost will now have function of black soil. hope the answer was helpful - luise:)
Black soil is formed from basaltic rooks
