The Chupacabra is an animal rumoured to exist in certain parts of the Americas, all though thus far no evidence has been found to confirm it's existence. The idea of the creature first emerged in Puerto Rico in 1995, all though sightings had been reported from as early as 1990, when eight sheep were found slaughtered in an identical fashion with three puncture wounds in the chest. All eight animals had been drained of blood - a Satanic cult was thought responsible, until identical attacks began to occur all over the island. It later emerged that an identical series of attacks had been conducted in Moca in the 1970s, where mythical Vampires were thought responsible. The Chupacabra is thought to be the size of a small bear, heavy and distinct for a trail of spines running down the trail. All though no other logical explanation has been found the attacks, the fact a great number of sightings occured only after the first two incidents suggests the animal is a myth. Many biologists and experts concur that the creature is an urban legend inspired by the highly unusual nature of the livestock slaughters. There have, however, been sighting as far east as Russia in recent years - all baring the same hallmarks as the original attacks. This suggests that the Chupacraba itself is a myth, but that some other force (possibly Human) is behind these unusual slaughters of livestock.
