Arkansas has a very dramatic weather climate due to it's natural surroundings (mountains, rivers, lakes etc.). It can get particularly chilly around January and February. A few years back there was a terrible ice storm that hit Arkansas, the river valley area (around Fort Smith) got hit severely. They suffered several weeks without electricity. It takes a while for the spring weather to fully hit Arkansas and actually stay! Today is April 8 and the temperature is currently 47 degrees and the low is in the 30's tonight!
NOT TRUE!!! if you live in the united states and go to Argentina in february, its warmer. its cooler because the earth is tilted on its axis. in winter the northern hemisphere is closer to the sun, therefore cooler. The opposite is true for summer. The northern hemisphere is further away from the sun.Being closer results in less sun exposure hence the shorter daylight hours. the longer the daylight hours, the warmer it is.
IT is mostly humid and subtropical. Weather patterns are most likely to change near the borders of the state because Arkansas is surrounded by the Great plains and the Gulf of Mexico. The precipitation changes mostly near the edge of the state. Go on symbaloo for further information.
