The climate in western Canada is usually sunny but some times it can be unpridictable or rain

The climate in British Columbia on the coast is much like Northern Washington state.Overcast and rainy much of the time, but very pleasant in summer. Northern and more interior parts are cold and snowy in Winter. A rough drive to Alaska then.

British Columbia is a province in western Canada, the westernmost of the provinces that border the US to the south. Only the Yukon Territory (to its north) extends farther west. Its northwest border is mainly with Alaska (the US state), which occupies the Pacific coastline and cuts Yukon off from the ocean.

The best in Canada, a sub-Mediterranean climate.
Victoria has a temperate climate with mild, rainy winters and cool, dry, and sunny summers. It is at the northernmost limits of the cool, dry-summer subtropical zone or cool-summer Mediterranean climate, due to its dry summers. Daily temperatures rise to 86 or higher less than one day per year and fall below 32 on average 10 nights per year. Victoria has recorded freeze-free winters three times in 1957/1958, 1999/2000, and 2002/2003. In the winter the high averages 46 and the low 39. The summer months are just as mild, with highs averaging 68 and lows 52, although more inland areas often experience warmer daytime highs. Victoria does have occasional extremes in temperature. The highest temperature ever recorded was 96.8 on July 11, 2007, while the coldest was 3.7 on December 29, 1968. Rainfall is light with annual totals averaging 23.9 inches while nearby cities like Vancouver, getting 63 inches, and Seattle, getting 38.2 inches. Victoria gets 2,193.3 hours of sunshine, mostly in summer.
