If you had asked this a while ago, I would have answered Pluto. However, now it is considered a dwarf planet, not a regular planet. Now, the coldest actaul planet is Neptune, the farthest from the sun.

Actually it is planet X a planet discovered in the last 10 years.

Jupiter is the coldest planet probably because of its location and the number of the over head satellites. this does not only suggests that being in the middle can not be like the coldest. and also because of its proximity to the sun which will greatly the rate of the long wave radiation which causes the heating of the earth surface.
