For compatibility with other universal remotes, use codes listed for these brands: Orion, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Sylvania, Zenith I have a 26in Dynex lcd tv. I was able to use an Emerson code to get my Philips remote to work.

I have used 10047 and 11781 as the remote code for a TCL LCD TV on my Comcast digital adapter remote. They are each RCACodes, that work perfectly on TCL , as RCA is owned by TCL.

It appears the TCL 55" uses RCA codes. Give RCA codes a try because they worked for me -- in my case, code 333 worked for my Avex R6 (URC-RC) Universal remote control. Maybe the other TCL TVs use the same RCA codes.
