Nutrient broth for making 1000ml

  • Peptone - 5g
  • Meat extract - 1g
  • Yeast extract - 2g
  • Sodium chloride - 5
  • pH - 7.0 ± 0.2
After autoclaving this liquid medium so called broth can be stored in a cold place. If the agar is added in the above composition, then you will be getting semisolid media, which can be poured in LB plate for the spread or streak plating of bacteria.
