Melting Pot basically has to do with migration. This helped in the movement of so many people from all over the world into the American continent. It greatly boosted development due to the many activities these immigrants were performing ( Farming.....etc.)
For me the concept of the American Melting Pot is like when everybody from other cultures (countries) adds their little special spice to make America even better.
