Best Answer

well NH3 is a base that reacts with H2O to get NH4 + OH-

NH3+ H2O-->NH4+ + OH-

A conjugate base is the species formed when a Bronsted- Lowry base accepts a proton.

NH4+ is the conjugate acid of NH3

I assume you mean: what is the conjugate acid ofNH3? It is NH4+

If you mean what is a conjugate acid and what does that imply for NH3 the answer is that it is what you get when a base reacts with H+, thus producing an acid. So what you need to have the conjugate acid that is named NH3 ,you'd need a substance that has one H+ less than it: NH2- . Note: NH2- is so reactive it is difficult to obtain in any usable quantity.
NH4+
