∙ 14y agoIts not that the world will end its just that the Mayan calendar ends there actually, its because at December 21,2012 (the winter solstice) all the planets in our group of planets from the sun outward will all be aligned in one line.
Also another thing to look at is our calanders ened every year. And in the i heard that in The Bible it says no one knows when i will return and only a fool will wonder. I think that i think it could go both ways. who knows? but what is worrying going to do?

∙ 14y agoThe Mayan calendar called the tzolkin ends on December 23,2012. The Mayan people believed that,that day was the end of the world because that is when their calender ended. But it really does not mean the end of the world is December 23,2012,the Mayan calendar ended that day so they believed that was the end of the world. But who really knows when the world is gonna end... answer to this... NO ONE!

The Mayan calendar ends on that date because the Mayans did not have any reason to carry it out to any greater distance. The Mayans measured time according to the time when three phenomena would repeat: first, the sun would shine to the bottom of a particular well; second, the sun would be at summer solstice; and third, venus would be in a particular position in the sky. That will happen again on that date. At that point the Mayan calendar does not end but simply starts over. If you have a Mayan Calendar from the day it was created, you can go back and use it again. So, why don't you go to Central America and start looking for some 3,000 year old rocks so you can use them?

Likewise, If you have a western calendar from 28 years ago you can use it instead of this years calendar. You do not need to purchase a calendar every year, just use a 28 year old calendar.
