What is the cost of a bearded dragon?

I recently checked in my local pet store and it told me the bearded dragon itself was about 60 dollars. You would still have to buy the dragon's food and terrarium but, the beardie itself is about 60 dollars.

At Pet Supplies Plus there is a baby Bearded Dragon for $56. They also have a Bearded Dragon kit with a tank, food, and several other essentials for $120. The tank is 50-55 gallons, so can also be used for adults.

When purchasing a bearded dragon the cost depends on the time of year and also where / who you are purchasing it from. For example, if the breeding season has passed then you can spend up to and above £ 100.00 but, say for instance you purchase your beardie during the breeding season you can see this cost decreased down to as little as £ 35.00. If buying a beardie from a friend then the price is impossible to state for obvious reasons. If you wanted something a little more special and opted for a high red at a later more mature / developed age I have seen these fetch well in the region of £ 350.00 - £ 500.00. Another factor is the sex of the beardie, if you are buying a certain female at the age of about 12 months then expect these to be pricier than males.
