Many downloaded plugins (mods) are contained within compressed folders. These can be extracted using the appropriate compression / extraction tool. This is usually WinRAR or WinZIP. These programs can be downloaded from their publishers websites for free (usually). In the case of WinRAR it is not necessary to purchase the program license after a certain period of use. The program will prompt you to "purchase online" after this period but if you ignore the warnings the program will continue to work without any problems. Morrowind mods run on mostly WinRAR. You can also use a zip program. I suggest going to either fileplanet.com or uesp.net to find out what one you want and If your looking for mods go to fileplanet.com. You have to be a member though but it's where you can get all mods. There is a way so that you don't have to pay for membership to fileplanet.com but I can't remember how I did it. I suggest going online and finding someone who knows.
