I'm not sure what the overall demand is for a wedding planner. I believe however that the need for wedding planners on the day of the wedding is rising in popularity. These planners meet a couple of times before the wedding - maybe 3-6 hrs of time, but, their main goal is to worry about making the day run smoothly. They pay for things, make sure food is delivered on time, make sure you're where you're supposed to be when the DJ (or whoever) announces you, etc.
