Best Answer

It is something in the neighbourhood of 1.4. But it depends on the volume of the gas and the temperature at which it is determined. Use the gas laws to calculate it. Is this any use?

i don't it's value but it definitely has it's own density since its volume is directly propotional to its volume.

What color weight density melting point luster hardness is oxygen?

Oxygen is a gas under normal conditions and so has no hardness or luster. The melting or freezing point of oxygen at standard temperature and pressure is 54.36 K (−218.79 °C, −361.82 °F) The density of oxygen gas at standard temperature and pressure is 1.429 g/L. the density of liquid oxygen at its boiling point (−182.962 °C or −297.332 °F) is 1.141 g/cm3. The atomic weight is about 15.999 Oxygen as a gas has no color. As a liquid it is a light blue.

Can you use argon and acetylene together?

acetylene is a flammable gas and relies on oxygen to burn. Argon would prevent a flame by displacing oxygen because of it's density in comparison to oxygen.

What is the density of the Oxygen?

What is the difference between oxygen and argon gas?

Oxygen is a light weight gas that makes up most of common air and is breathable, argon by it's density is not breathable and can cause suffocation by settling in the lower parts of the lungs and keeps oxygen from entering.

Why is the density of an oxygen nucleus much greater than that of oxygen gas?

Almost all of the mass of an atom is concentrated in the nucleus (a nucleon weighs about 2000 times more than an electron) and almost all of an atom is empty space; the nucleus is much smaller than an atom. And a gas also is composed almost entirely of empty space between the atoms or molecules. So the density of an oxygen nucleus is vastly greater than that of oxygen gas.
