The international dialling code for Ireland is +353.

This is used for landline and mobile phones and faxes.

Just make sure to drop the leading 0 in the area code or mobile phone number

So that a Dublin number 01 - 123 4567 would become +353 1 123 4567

and a Cork number 021 - 987 6543 would become +353 21 987 6543

Northern Ireland would have its own dialling code as part of the UK - 028

00353 and leave out the first zero in the Irish area code

If you have a Irish number that has area code 0123 and the main number 456789 you dial 00353 123 456789 from the UK.

There is a handy tool (see related link) - checked 31st of August 2010 - that can show you exactly what to dial.

In general, you dial a fax number on a fax machine exactly the same way you would dial the same number on a landline telephone at the same location.

The telephone country code for the Republic of Ireland is +353, and you must drop the trunk prefix 0 from the Irish area code.

Northern Ireland is part of the UK, and uses area code +44 28, with 8-digit subscriber numbers.

The default international access prefix for outbound international calls from Australia is 0011; however, you may wish to use a different code for certain specific purposes. For example, the prefix 0015 routes the call over the Telstra network, with settings optimised for fax transmission.

(The plus sign means "insert your international access prefix here." From a GSM mobile phone, you can enter the number in full international format, starting with the plus sign. The most common prefix is 00, but North America (USA, Canada, etc.) uses 011, Japan uses 010, Australia uses 0011, and many other countries use different prefixes.)

The telephone country code for the Republic of Ireland is +353, and you must drop the trunk prefix 0 from the beginning of the Irish number. For example, Dublin's area code 01 becomes +353 1, which is dialed as 00 353 1 from the UK.

Northern Ireland is part of the UK, so you just dial area code 028 plus the 8-digit local number.
