Water is the polar molecule with molecular formula H2O. Crude oil (if that's what you are refering to) is a mixture of hydrocarbons. These hydrocarbons are mostly chains of carbons with hydrogen atoms attached to cabon atoms. The chains vary in length. Different lengths result in molecules with different properties, such as boiling point. These carbon chains are basically symmetrical and are are therefore non-polar. Because water is polar oil and water do not mix because of the different types of bonding. They are said to be 'immiscible'. This means they don't mix. Also, oil burns in air. Water doesn't. In fact, water is a product of burning oil in the presence of oxygen (combustion).
oil and oil are normally immiscible, but with proper mixing and stability agents, a permanent mixture, or emulsion, can be achieved. O/w emulsions are comprised of oil droplets suspended in an aqueous phase, while w/o emulsions are the opposite water droplets suspended in a continuous oil phase
There may be a difference at first, depending on how you combine them. But after a while, there's no difference.
If you put oil into water, the oil rises to the top, and you wind up with oil on top of water.
If you put water into oil, the water sinks to the bottom, and you wind up with oil on top of water.
one has oil shale and one dosent
The solution in which the pigment is suspended. i.e. the pigment is suspended in a water-based solution in latex paint, but in an oil-based solution for alkyd (oil) paints.
Moisture is also water (H2O).
Single viscosity is high quality oil. Mulit-viscosity oil is used for in the winter.
Water is not an acid and vinegar is. Another difference would be that water has no odour and vinegar has a very strong odour.
One is in water and one is in oil You don't blanch in oil, that would be deep frying.
The difference between cream and gel is both creams and gels are water-based, but creams contain a mixture of thickener, water and oil. Gels are made from thickener and water, and rarely have any oil.
Soluble describes something that can be dissolved in water. Insoluble describes something that can not be dissolved in water. Salt is soluble, it will dissolve in water. Oil is insoluble, oil will float on the surface of water.
no
Oil based cosmetics can block pores and create acne and pimples. Water based cosmetics are better for sensitive skin.
The difference between barrel and gallen is that a barrel can load 220 litre oil and a gallon can load millions of oil.
I am assuming you mean an enclosed heater. Oil stay hot longer & does not rust.
The main difference is that plastiscine is derived from clay and is oil based. Play doh is water based, and is totally edible.
While it is still liquid you can tell by smell. The water based will have very low odour, oil based has heavy odour. Once applied and dried there is no way to tell difference.
The difference between a mailman and water is water can be bottled and a mailman can't.
Difference is capacity and the fuel type.
baby oil is scented mineral oil
