What is the difference between Windows Linux Unix and DOS?

All are Operating systems. Windows and DOS are from the Microsoft Family. While Linux is Open Source and Unix is again from different vendors.

Windows and Linux both are GUI based but Linux has its root from Unix which is Command Line based OS ( all that black-white screen stuff) ..powerful for networking and managing multiuser at a time. So even a Linux derivative has these features of Unix in it.
