A vortec has different style heads. They will flow better than others within a similar price range. The only catch is they also require a different intake .... this is more expensive than similar ones. There are many used parts to be found everywhere for them. Its just a matter of prefrence
believe it or not just because there both GM 350s. it doesnt mean anything. They are completely diffrent motors.. there is a Chevy/GMC 350,a Buick 350, Pontiac 350, an they are all very diffrent motors. there block an cranks are diffrent. there a whole diffrent design. there parts will not fit other 350s.
the only real difference is the head
BETWEEN a CHEVY 350 AND WHAT? Ask A question that makes sense !
Subtract 305 from 350 and that will give you the difference (or interval) between the two numbers:- the answer is 45. However, if you mean what is the difference between a Chevy 305 and a Chevy 350, then it is the difference between the engine bore (the cylinder) sizes. The 305 bore is 3.740 inches. And the 350 bore is 4.000 inches, giving the Chevy 350 20HP more then the Chevy 305.
No difference in the engine. It is all in the trans and the rearend
No, they will not.
No, not even close. Pontiac 350 intakes will interchange with 1965-1979 Pontiac 389,400,421,428,455 intakes. Most all aftermarket Pontiac V8 intakes are designed for the 1965 up bolt pattern. 350 Chevy is part of the small block Chevy engine family, and virtually nothing interchanges with a Pontiac V8.

Which 350?? Chevy or Pontiac? A Pontiac engine will drop right in. A Chevy takes a lot more work.
