What is the difference between a bachelor's and an associate's degree? |
[Edit] |
Answer
About 2 years and 60 credits
Answer
Associate's Degrees are conferred by a "two-year" institution or Junior/Community College.
Bachelor's Degrees are conferred by a "four-year" or Senior College/University.
Credits earned for an Associate's Degree may or may not be transferable to a Senior College or University.
Check with the Admissions Office of the Senior College or Universty that you plan to attend to find out exactly which credits are transferable.
In essence, if all credits earned for an Associate's Degree are transferable, one may enter a Senior College or University as a Junior.
