Answer: A Catholic priest is someone who is ordained and may celebrate the sacraments of the Church (apart from Holy Orders which is the responsibility of a bishop). A brother is a member of a religious congregation or order; he is not ordained but does take the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. He cannot celebrate the sacraments (apart from baptism in the case of an emergency).

Priests are church leaders in certain churches (i.e., Roman Catholic, Anglican, Orthodox, etc) who are ordained (set apart) to be a church leader ministering to their churches through prayer, leading worship, pastoral care and especially in performing sacraments such as Holy Communion (mass in the RC church), pronouncing God's blessing, and pronouncing the absolution of sins. Pastors are church leaders who are found in protestant denominations such as Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist and Pentecostal, and their role has similarity to a priest. However, in such churches the sacramental role of the priest is deemed less important than the prayer/worship and especially pastoral care role - and are therefore called pastors. Baptists consider one of their distinctives to be their belief in the priesthood of all believers, consisting of spiritual application of the role of the Old Testament priest in a New Testament context. For new Christians Peter explains: "Ye also as lively stones, are built up a spiritual House, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 2:5. Their pastor watches over them as a shepherd his flock, but he counts them responsible to God for understanding the Scriptures and to live by them. While Baptist were not part of the Protestant Movement or the Reformation, many protestant Churches share to some degree their understanding of the priesthood of believers. Within the Church of England, for example there is a movement within some areas of the church to go back to the practices of the original early church and allow local church leaders, whether ordained or not, to celebrate the Eucharist (Holy Communion) as they did way back on the first couple of centuries (and do today in some parts of Africa - even in the RC church! - although unofficially). The debate goes on about this without decision. For the idea is the emphasis on the priesthood of all believers (as described and endorsed by Paul in his letters and in the early church). Against this movement are the conservatives who believe that as the orthodox church and RC church will never accept such an idea it would drive a further wedge between the churches causing further friction between them. At the moment the RC church does not accept the priesthood of Church of England priests as valid (and certainly not the women priests within the church!) and therefore this movement would not help the cause for acceptance by the Roman Catholics of the Church of England at any time in the future.
A pastor is usually associated with Protestantism and is allowed to get married and father children. A priest is usually associated with Roman Catholicism and is not allowed to marry and not allowed to father children

Pastors: The book of 1 Corinthians, chapter 12 references that Jesus Christ gave His appointed followers certain spiritual gifts. In verse 28 He gives the gift of the "teacher" which implies to our present Pastor teachers in Orthodox Christian churches.

The command by God for these pastor teachers are to equip the saints in the teaching and practice methods of God's word, the bible. Jesus has called all His saints to not forsake the assembling of the saints each Sunday Hebrews 10: 25. We as children of God are commanded by God to attend and worship Him by learning His will for our lives.

A Priest is usually associated with the Catholic Religion. This person is the go between man and God. When you sin, you go confess to your Priest and He tells you what you need to do to be right with God. This act is not in accordance with the word of God.

The bible teaches that when a person sins against God, he is to go to God in prayer, asking His to forgive His sin and cleanse His soul of all sin 1 John 1:9.

Since the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, He does not need earthly priest to offer up the sins of the people anymore. Hebrews 7: 27. We come to Him and confess our sins.

A Brother is a member of a Religious Order. As such, he lives under the three vows of Religion: Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience. Different Religious Orders have different missions such as teaching, nursing, care of the homeless, etc. The members live in community and share a common life of prayer.

A priest is a man who has been ordained, that is, given authority to act on behalf of the church in administering the sacraments and saying Mass for the faithful. Some priests belong to Religious Orders, like the Jesuits for example, but most are secular clergy. They do not have religious vows but are expected to live an exemplary life. Secular priests are hired by the Bishop to work in a particular diocese. They are paid a salary and contrary to popular belief, they do NOT have a vow of poverty.

Catholic Priest: Is a Man who was discerned through the Holy Spirit to become a Catholic Priest. To become a Devoted Priest (Like Jesus did to the Twelve Apostles)

this Man would have to go to School for ten years. All Priests are given different gifts from God, Some could have the Gift of Tongues (The Gift to speak in many different languages,) The Gift to Sing, the Gift to Heal, and many more.

Once a anointed Priest, A Priest is more important than an Angel. A Priest is able to turn Bread and Wine at Mass in the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ just like Jesus did at the Last Supper.

A Priest is more than a person able to do miraculous things, and is more than just a Man who is more important than an Angel. A Priests work is dedicated to doing what God asks and to do in God's will.

Another one of a Priests responsibilities , is to Pray, Pray for anyone who may be hurt Mentally and Physically or Sick. (That is also our job, prayer is the most important thing God gave us.)

A Deacon: Is an ordained minister that takes on some of the responsibilities of a Priest.

A Deacon is able to Read the Gospel and has the blessing of the Priest.

A Deacon is also allowed to be Married and have kids like a normal father would, although he takes a vow of celibacy when before he is ordained.

A Catholic Brother takes vows of poverty, chastity and obedience and professes to serve God and one another. He is considered as a religious, and lives in community. His canonical status is the same as a layman.

A Catholic Deacon receives the sacrament of Holy Orders and is an ordained minister with faculties of preaching, and administering baptism and wedding sacraments. He professes to serve God and one another in Word, Sacrament, and Charity. Having received the Sacrament of Holy Orders, he is no longer considered a layman, but ontologically something different due to his Ordination.

Nothing. Franciscans are one type of Catholic priest:

.

Franciscan priests go to the same seminary and receive the same ordination as any other Catholic priest. The one difference is the way of life.

Franciscans live in a monastery with other brothers of the same order. And they dress appropriately to match all others in their order.

A diocesan priest is somebody who lives in a parish. And wears the familiar collar and can have possessions. Where a Franciscan takes a vow of poverty. Other than their ways of life (which are much more different than I con explain here and would require further research in order to understand them fully) there is no difference in their ability to administer sacraments or their "holiness", they are quite the same.

'Brother' is the title given to them before they are ordained as a Priest. They must do years of study before they're able to be ordained as a priest.

Is there a difference between Catholic priest and Communion minister?

Roman Catholic AnswerOne is real, the other is not. You are probably referring to what is the difference between a Catholic priest and an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. In the later question, one is an ordained member of the clergy and can confect the Eucharist, the second is usually a layman who has been specially trained and designated to help distribute Holy Communion for a limited period of time, and/or to take Holy Communion to the sick with a special license from the Bishop.

What is the difference between a Catholic clerical brother and a Catholic cooperative brother?

I have never heard either of these two terms before, so I'm going to hazard a guess. There are two kinds of men who are addressed as "brothers", the first would be men would were in a religious Order and studying to be a priest, I guess that would be what you are calling a "clerical brother" because they are on their way to becoming a cleric. I, for sure, have never heard of a cooperative brother, but, by process of elimination, this would be a religious brother who was not studying of the priesthood, and was just a member of a religious institute.
