== == == == == == == == Conventional medicine (also known as empirical medicine, scientific medicine and western medicine) is medicine which has been shown to work under strict scientific tests, has known mechanisms, and has usually been developed after years of extensive research. Alternative medicine does not always follow the above criteria. Opponents of AM say that any benefits are the result of the placebo effect. The above is an obvious answer from an industry team player who is threatened by the growth of alternative medicine. The Difference: alternative medicine has existed for thousands of years with rarely any side effects, but the industry which ironically calls itself "conventional" medicine is the number 3 killer in the United States.

So you like science? Me too! Lets review some empirical scientifically verifiable facts. Based on the 2000 U.S. census -- doctors are 9,000 times more deadly than guns:

* The number of physicians in the US is 700,000.

* Accidental deaths known to be caused by physicians per year are 120,000.

* Accidental deaths per physician are 0.171, according to the US Department of Health and Human Services. (This means that your doctor has a 17% chance of accidentally killing someone with medicine this year.)

* The number of gun owners in the US is 80,000,000.

* The number of accidental gun deaths per year is 1,500.

* The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.0000188.

Statistically, doctors are 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners. Not everyone has a gun, but almost everyone has at least one doctor. Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets out of hand. As a public health measure, I have withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear that the shock may cause people to seek medical attention.

The difference is simple. Alternative medicine cures, while conventional medicine (drugs) suppress symptoms so that the root problem worsens over time. If you ever find a drug ad in a magazine, it usually covers one side of the page with a big picture, but flip it over, and the whole other side is covered in SIDE EFFECTS. A whole page in little tiny font. That new drug Vytorin which supposedly lowers cholesterol, was proven to actually INCREASE blood plaque, and do absolutely nothing to reduce cholesterol. Empirical medicine is homeopathy and naturopathy. Use of ancient, observed single-blinded experimental, time-honored medical treatments. Most homeopathy / naturopathy medical textbooks are more than 100 years old. In empirical medicine / homeopathy / naturopathy the scientific reason why treatments work is not as important as knowing that they have scientifically / experimentally observed to have worked (for centuries). Allopathic medicine is the use of cutting (surgery), poisons (patentable potions / drugs), and burning (radiation / microwave oblation) to treat symptoms of disease. Allopathic doctors took over organized medicine in America. How? Their wealthy financial backers (Rockefeller, Rothschild, Kettering, Sloan, Carnegie, etc) politically lobbied (and bribed) the US Government for and got other forms of medicine to be declared illegal. The AMA Inc., Rockefeller, and Canegie foundation funded the Flexner report of 1910 that suggested anything but allopathic medicine be abandoned, that medical schools should be associated with universities, and that the universities be well funded by monies from the rich tycoons of the day (or their foundations). Enforcement agencies such as the AMA Inc., FDA, and FTC now largely restrict health freedom in America so that only approved allopathic medical treatments can be legally used, manufactured, sold, or publicized (talked about). Parts of the US Constitution are overthrown by jailing persons who make medical health claims (free speech) that are true, but "not yet proven" in highly financially sponsored and approved clinical trials conducted by using AMA- and FDA-certified methods and personnel. The result is a suppression of medical misinformation -- blocking competition by making the approval process so prohibitively expensive. Rockefeller and drug companies could then sell patentable, profitable pharmaceuticals to build wealth. Graduates of Rockefeller-Standard Oil / Carnegie foundation funded universities would then argue against anything not taught to them in their schooling or published in journals where they were involved as advertisers, subscribers, or publishers. Alternative medicine makes use of any seemingly useful non-allopathic medical treatments possibly involving any other forms of medicine like chiropractic, Chinese, electro-medicine, acupuncture, un-approved / off-book allopathic treatments, etc. One such example is the off-book use of EDTA chelation therapy to treat vascular disease, Alzheimer's, chronic kidney disease, Diabetes -- known by many experimental practitioners to work, but falsely ridiculed and denounced by junk scientific studies conducted using funds from opposing financial interests such as surgical medical practitioner's unions and drug companies. These junk science studies have been critically reviewed as such, but the junk none the less appears in the Pub-Med displayed listings about chelation and vascular disease treatment. Critiques of the various junk studies are not allowed to be published in the originating journals to debunk them. On the one hand, EDTA was FDA approved from its late 1930s inception from Germany for safe, effective treatment of one disease (metal poisoning), but not the other health treatments benefits that it had also laid claim to have. The only distinguishing trait of the unapproved use therapies was that they represented competition to established industry / financial concerns whose income streams would be disrupted if alternative treatments were permitted: lavishly expensive bypass surgery was an already approved method of treating vascular disease; artificial kidney dialysis could chronically treat that disease; and insulin could treat diabetes for a lengthy period, before destroying the patient. In each case, these techniques were merely acts of symptom suppression, and therefore provided the establishment with perpetual repeat patients needing further ever increasingly expensive procedures. They create exactly the same sort of addictive dependency that narcotics traffickers do, except in the case of medicine, this dependency is ultimately life threatening, in addition to always decreasing the quality of life.

Laetrile / amygdalin / Vitamin B17 is another example of alternative medicine treatment methods for cancer that have been outlawed because MSK had 3 Rockefellers on the board of directors where 4 internal studies showed the natural substance was effective, and one questionable outside study found it no more effective than saline solution (except for reporting the unusually high 40% cure rate for saline!). You see, as a natural non-synthetic substance, amygdalin cannot be patented -- so no profits can be made by making it, prescribing it, or treating patents with it -- not to mention that the cure rate was too high to create a perpetual income stream for hospitals, doctors, and drug companies. In many areas of science there are people who cling to ideas taught to them in school where they were indoctrinated to think "inside the box." These people who are supposedly trained in the sciences rarely conduct any experimentation on their own, but rather rely on heavily edited journals that restrict their science study articles to only those that support status quo paradigms. Our so-called "science" is for sale. Those who fund the experiments get the verifications they need to push sales and keep out competition. Should a study be headed in an undesired direction or have undesired results, it is buried and left unpublished -- or else those involved publicize the results and are de-funded from further research work and denounced as fringe / mad / unreliable / fired / conspiracy theorists / paranoid / alternative therapist (no longer a medical scientist or doctor). J.P. Morgan did not like the direction Nikola Tesla was going, so Tesla was de-funded. Because of the profit motive, many scientific ideas and experiments of Tesla (and many other people) are not taught in schools or universities, or will ever see their way into the open market -- into the mainstream. After his mysterious demise, and the equally mysterious disappearance of his notebooks, Teslsa's peers reported that had been on the brink of refining techniques for providing almost limitless free electricity, and the transmission of it without the need for a line-based grid infrastructure. The world would be a completely different place if Tesla had not been "dealt with". The same thing is regularly happening with medical research. Alternative medicine proponents are not interested if you have large amounts of health insurance, but allopathic doctors are! Without it, they cannot charge you copious amounts of money for dubious surgeries and medications. Ever heard of harmful drug side-effects that were kept secret by their manufacturers? This "science" of this $multi-billion industry is done by staging, screening, selecting, or otherwise structuring the research to come to the foregone conclusions that are required by the sponsors of their studies. A clinical study does not have to be double-blind. It can be single-blind and be fine. A study can be junk if under-dosed or overdosed or if conflicting substances are given to the patients. Much of the original negative study results involved these methods to discredit Laetrile and other useful naturally occurring substances. Moneyed science fraud should be punished, especially if it costs millions of lives.

What does alternative mean?

'Alternate' means 'one following on from the other'. So 'alternating' current describes a current that flows first in one direction, then in the other. Not to be confused (although it often is!) with 'alternative', which means 'a choice between two', as in 'We could either go this way, or we could choose the alternative route'.

Difference between conventional and non conventional resource of energy?

The difference between conventional and non conventional energy resources is that conventional energy resources are much more common. An example of a conventional energy resource would be oil, a non conventional energy resource would be solar power.

Can you start homoeopathic medicine if you are already taking conventional medicine?

There is no conflict between conventional medicines and homeopathic medicine and indeed both systems of therapy may sometimes be used together to compliment each other. In most cases when starting homeopathic treatment you should remain on your current conventional medicines. This is why it is so important to consult a homeopathic doctor as they will be able to advise you on how to reduce your conventional medicine in a sage way. Yes. Certain drugs such as anti-hypertensives, drugs for cardiac or diabetic disorders need to be continued even with Homeopathic medicines since they are important to life. Others, such as antibiotics if taken for the same complaint that homeopathic treatment is being given, may be discontinued with the advice of the homeopathic physician.
