Boas give live birth and pythons lay eggs. Pythons have heat pits and boas do not. And for the most part, boas are found in the Western Hemisphere and pythons are found in the eastern hemisphere. There are a few exceptions with boas, such as Dumeril's boas and a few others, but there is only one species of python found in the western hemisphere
